Broadcast Email-to-Fax allows you to send the same fax to multiple recipients in one step—directly from your email. It's a simple and efficient way to distribute information to multiple fax numbers at once.

How It Works

Instead of sending a fax to a single recipient, include multiple fax numbers in the To field of your email. Each number will receive the fax as a separate transmission through Xfax.

  1. Compose Your Email

    To:
Enter each recipient’s fax number in E.164 format, followed by @fax.xfax.io, separated by commas.

    Example:

[email protected], [email protected], [email protected]

Note: Fax numbers must be in E.164 format — [+][country code][area code][subscriber number].

  2. Subject Line - Enter a short description of the fax. This will appear as the first line of the cover sheet notes (if a cover sheet is used).

  3. Email Body - The email body is included in the cover sheet notes for users with cover sheets enabled.

  4. Attachments (Optional)

Include one or more supported attachments. These will form the main fax content.

    Supported file types:
.DOC, .DOCX, .PDF, .TIFF, .PNG, .RTF, .JPG, .JPEG, .CSV, .XLS, .XLSX

  5. Note: If no attachment is included, only the email body will be faxed as part of the cover sheet notes.

  6. Send the Email

Click Send once all fields are complete. Xfax will process and send the fax to each recipient individually.

Requirements

  • The sender’s email address must be registered in Xfax.
If not, contact your Xfax administrator to set up access.

Tracking and Confirmation

  • Status Tracking - Monitor fax status in the Xfax Outbound Queue or History section.

  • Email Confirmation - A status email is sent to your inbox for each recipient, indicating whether the fax was sent successfully or failed.
