The Outbound Routes section allows administrators to configure how outbound faxes are processed within Xconnect .
This feature enables automated fax transmission by monitoring a specified directory path for control files that define fax job details.
Control File Settings
Each outbound route monitors a defined directory path for a control file.
When a control file is identified, the system automatically sends the fax using the specified outbound fax number.
Control file settings determines the predecessor and terminator values contained within the control file, which define the start and end of fax job data.
An optional predecessor can also be specified if required for custom job formats.
Outbound Notifications
Once an outbound fax has been successfully sent, Xconnect can generate delivery notifications.
There are three available notification types:
Email: Sends a confirmation message to a specified mailbox.
File: Creates a file in the defined path as either JSON or XML format.
Webhook: Sends a delivery notification to a specified webhook URL, allowing integration with backend systems.
Any one or multiple notification types can be configured for a single outbound route.
